Global Qurban-ACT can represent Indonesia in helping other nations through multiplier humanity, such as qurbani and other philanthropic activities. The statement was delivered by Iqbal Setyarso, Vice President of ACT, in Qurban Festive 2017 launching at Carrefour Lebak Bulus Jakarta, Friday (4/8).
Qurban Festive 2017 is a synergy between Global Qurban-ACT and PT Transretail Indonesia (Carrefour) that has been going for five years. This cooperation is a part of Global Qurban’s effort to expand the invitation to perform qurbani in an easy, affordable and targeted way.
“This year, qurbani falls colliding with two other grand momentum. First, Islamic solidarity in Al-Aqsa. Second, preparation for Indonesia’s Independence Day. With these momentum, there’s a chance to multiply your rewards and benefits from Qurban. This becomes a challenge for us to act on more massive scale, be it national or global. We are optimistic, though,” Iqbal revealed.
Meanwhile, during five years of cooperation, there have been thousands of qurbani performers and Carrefour and Trans customers who perform their qurbani through Global Qurban-ACT. It also has something to do with all the convenience in qurbani transaction that Carrefour and Transmart presents.
This collaboration is conducted from 4 August to 1 September, 2017. In that period, Global Qurban-ACT and Carrefour provides consultant and information booth regarding qurbani.
With these facilities, not only the customers will understand sharia qurbani more thoroughly. They can also do qurban transaction in 99 Carrefour and Transfarm outlets across Indonesia. Their qurbani will later be distributed to people in need in Indonesia and some other countries through Global Qurban. According to Satria Hamid, Corporate Communication General Manager of PT Transretail Indonesia, the convenience of qurbani is the main aim of Qurban Festive 2017 synergy.
“Price for buyable qurbani livestock in Carrefour and Transmart Carrefour is Rp1.999.000 for one goat and Rp13.993.000 for one cow. Alhamdulillah, in Qurban Festive 2017 launching, there’s a qurbani transaction in Carrefour Pasar Minggu,” Satria continued.
He further added, the retail had offered an advantage for people who shop in Carrefour and Transmart Carrefour with this programme. He also hoped that this activity would be beneficial for people, in line with Islamic teaching.
This year, Carrefour targets 3.500 qurbani livestock from qurbani performers, customers of Carrefour and Transmart.
Ikhsan Tarore, a singer from Indonesian Idol who happened to be a guest star in Qurban Festive launching, supported this collaboration. In his perspective, Carrefour’s collaboration with Global Qurban-ACT is really perspective and better be maintained.
“This synergy will help people to perform qurbani. Like it was explained before, this synergy is more than just qurbani distribution, but also a community empowerment. Later, qurbani receiver will be uplifted economically,” said Ikhsan.
With “Indonesia Berqurban” as the theme, this year Global Qurban-ACT targets 34 provinces in Indonesia and 40 countries across the world to distribute qurbani in. Not only bridging empathy, GQ will also deliver the best qurbani from Indonesian communities to the world. Insha Allah.
