ACTNews, JAKARTA – The spirit of Eid-ul-Adha has filled the air since the first ten days of the month of Dhu’l-Hijjah. To welcome Eid-ul-Adha which is only few days ahead, Global Qurban – Aksi Cepat Tanggap and the Regional Government of Jakarta collaborate to spread the happiness of qurbani. Jakarta Qurbani Kitchen “All Happily Enjoy It” comes as a collaborative program that aims to help the needy in Jakarta.
This collaboration was officially begun on Monday (8/13). The event of the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between Global Qurban – ACT and the Provincial Government of Jakarta was held in the Jakarta city hall.
“Alhamdulillah, in this afternoon, we signed a Cooperation Agreement. Hopefully, this second collaboration will strengthen our efforts in bringing social justice for all Jakartans. I thank my friends in ACT who have prepared the Qurbani Kitchen. It is an innovative medium that we can improve in future years,” said Anies Baswedan, Governor of Jakarta Special Region, in his speech.
The program initiated by Global Qurban – ACT will be held on the day of Eid-ul-Adha and the three days afterwards, from August 23 to August 25 2018. The Qurbani kitchen is designated to cook the meat from 1,000 cattle into delicious dishes. This program can be a moment to spread the goodness of Eid-ul-Adha to our brothers and sisters.
Qurbani Kitchen is a product of Global Qurban that has served to facilitate qurbani sacrifice for eight years. This year is the first year of the Qurbani Kitchen to be held. In the future, Global Qurban and Jakarta Provincial Government will continue inviting all the people and Civil State Apparatus of Jakarta to actively get involved in this program by purchasing their qurbani animals through Global Qurban.
At the moment, the price of a qurbani sheep in Global Qurban is IDR 1,700,000, and the price of a cow or bull is IDR 11,900,000. ACT also set up booths almost in all provincial and municipal government office. This is done in order to facilitate the people and the Civil State Apparatus to obtain more information about Global Qurban. People can also visit Global Qurban’s official website on GlobalQurban.com.
The collaboration with the provincial government of Jakarta is not the first to be done. Previously, ACT and Jakarta Provincial Government held the program of Buka Bersama Jakarta Bahagia (BBJB) that provided free iftar packages during Ramadan 1439 AH. This program was met with positive response and was able to bring happiness to 141,360 beneficiaries. Now, the Qurbani Kitchen comes as a great initiative for the happiness of the people of Jakarta on the day of Eid-ul-Adha.
Inspired by the BBJB program, Jakarta Qurbani kitchen aims to bring the same happiness. The Qurbani Kitchen is ready to distribute qurbani meat in the form of delicious dishes for the needy.
Global Qurban President, Rini Maryani, stated that the Qurbani Kitchen aims to serve qurbani dishes to 121 neighborhoods throughout the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Three hundred head of cattle are prepared for the Qurbani Kitchen program that will be held for three days. “The cattle will be brought from Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara through the Qurbani Ship. Therefore, the beneficiaries will not only be the people of Jakarta, but also livestock raisers in West Nisa Tenggara,” Maryani explained.
The health of the cattle will then be inspected by Department of Food Security, Marine and Agriculture. Of the 400 cattle that will be sacrificed, 100 of them will be distributed for Lombok earthquake victims in West Nusa Tenggara.
Meanwhile, 300 of the cattle will be transported to Jakarta through the Qurbani Ship. On Sunday (8/19), the ship is slated to arrive at the Port of Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta.
The Qurbani Kitchens in Jakarta will be located in 43 different places throughout the capital. Apart from the distribution of the delicious qurbani dishes, on August 23rd there will be a banquet in one of Jakarta Qurbani Kitchens attended by the Governor of Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.
Around 2,000 portions of delicious dishes will be served and eaten together. The governor of Jakarta and all of his staffs, along with all the local residents, will sit on the same place eating the same delicious food.
“We will make sure that the dishes from the Qurbani Kitchen will be distributed to 121 neighborhoods, with 43 distribution locations. We all hope that this event will proceed as we, Global Qurban and Jakarta Provincial Government, have hoped.
